How do I choose between these five?
Pick the body first. The UNI-T is a 1,565 mm-tall coupe SUV with 1,050 litres of folded load space — the right car for unsealed roads, dealer showrooms and government pools. The UNI-V is a 1,430 mm fastback sedan with a 380 litre boot and the lower fuel burn — the right car for ride-hailing, corporate fleets and airport transfer. The UNI-Z is the load-carrier: 638 litres behind the rear seats and 1,425 folded, on the longest wheelbase in the range.
Then pick the driveline. The 1.5T with the wet 7-speed DCT is the volume answer at roughly 6.1 to 6.5 L/100 km. Switch to the 2.0T with the Aisin 8-speed automatic above about 2,000 m of altitude or wherever the car will crawl in traffic all day. Choose the UNI-V iDD only where petrol is above roughly USD 1.20 a litre and drivers can charge overnight — otherwise it never pays back its premium.
