One plug-in hybrid is exported from the UNI line: the UNI-V iDD. It combines a 1.5-litre Blue Whale turbo petrol engine with a 158 kW drive motor and an 18.4 kWh CALB lithium-iron-phosphate pack, giving 136 km of CLTC electric range and roughly 1,160 km combined. DC fast charging takes the battery from 30 to 80 percent in about 30 minutes.
It exists for one commercial situation: markets where electricity is cheap, petrol is expensive, and the public charging network is not something a driver can plan around. In that situation the iDD runs a full urban ride-hailing shift on grid power and treats the engine as a range extender. Where petrol is subsidised below roughly USD 0.60 a litre, or drivers have nowhere to plug in overnight, it never earns back its premium over the 1.5T and we will tell you so.
The battery costs 40 litres of boot volume and 250 kg over the petrol car, and it adds UN38.3 transport documentation that pushes lead time to 35-45 days. Most Ro-Ro operators surcharge or refuse traction batteries, so the iDD ships containerised as a rule.

About USD 6.06 per 100 km on a charged battery, assuming USD 1.20 a litre petrol and USD 0.09 a kWh electricity — which pays back a typical FOB premium in roughly 90,000 to 130,000 km of urban duty. Run permanently in depleted mode and the saving collapses to about USD 1.32 per 100 km, and payback runs past the fleet replacement cycle. Ask for both quotations and run it against your own fuel price.
